WAGENER & HERBST Potsdam and Economtransconsulting Almaty signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of training and consulting in the transport and logistics sector on 15.07.2009 in Almaty. In addition to the promotion of business contacts, the main focus is on the restructuring of the railway sector, the planning of logistics centers and the introduction of integrated management systems.
The Director General of ETC and former Minister of Transport and First Deputy. of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan from 1991 to 1997 Dr. Nigmatzhan Issingarin presented the major challenges and opportunities for the restructuring of the Kazakh railroad during the signing ceremony.
WAGENER & HERBST will contribute joint projects to the restructuring of transport companies in the railway and passenger transport sector in Germany since the 1990s, as well as his proven expertise in Eastern Europe, especially in the planning of logistics centers and training.
ETC is particularly interested in practical experience in the restructuring and liberalization of the railway market and the GVZ planning in Germany.
Dr. Bulekbaeyev and Dr. Wagener agreed as the first concrete step the planning of joint seminars in Kazakhstan on the topics of logistics and management systems. “With this strong cooperation partner, we can also better support German companies in their market development in Kazakhstan,” says Dr. Wagener.
